Improbable Landscapes & Precarious Dreamstates

IMPROBABLE LANDSCAPES & PRECARIOUS DREAMSTATES was inspired by a series of dreams set in strange but oddly familiar places. The majority of the buildings (some now gone) were captured in Hamilton, Ontario--a vibrant former steel town in the midst of reinvention--while many of the other elements were photographed in various countries around the world and later united in the finished piece. Each dreamscape is haunted by a ghost (or ghosts) representing the human energy of a once dynamic space and inviting the viewer to look more closely at the quiet beauty to be found in the mundane places we often take for granted.
